Linkage repair inserts

I have several implements that have have worn holes for 3 point linkage mounting pins.

If I bore the holes out with a mag drill, does anyone make insets or bushes that can get them back to the right size?

I did think of reducer bushes, but the holes I want to repair are cat 3.

Local engineering firm would be your best bet - it's the sort of thing the trainees/junior gets to do, or the pros do between real jobs. When I've made them in the past, I've done them as a top hat shape and then tack welded them in place - that way you can keep some spares on the shelf and replace if they wear again.

Just have some 10mm plate and drill the holes in it same size as pin and weld them on top the originals, you may need a slightly longer pin but on most machines you have a bit spare or can weld on insides if there is enough room!
Something like a 3-4 inch square should be fine, if you drill your holes first its much easier obviously because you have something to magnet too!

On a cat 3 10 mm may be a bit optimistic.

I was thinking of using a large enough broach so the existong oval hole doesn't effect it, rather tha reaming.

Chopping off and remaking the brackets may be the easier fix on some of them though.

you can get these all sizes , gas the hole out weld one in , job done . just do them in pairs with pin through to make sure they are both in line

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
