So not really a fair comparison to a factory fit SC.

I can only really speak for sulky prices.Aren’t these spreaders with electrics and section control a big saving until they break and cost a fortune to fix… and they cost a small fortune more
Came back into the ag industry 5 years ago after 20 years out. Spreader we have is an Amazone, hydraulic drive with weigh cells and six section auto cut off. Compared to the Lely Centerliner I used 25 years ago there is no comparison !! tell the spreader the appplied amount you want, give it a clue as to a calibration factor for the fert and it sorts itself out , can drive at 8 k over ploughing or 16 k over smooth grass it don't care!!!
Spreader is 12 years old now and will be replaced this coming season, no prob with electrics but hopper getting thin
How do you define "wasted"?Just in one field today, straight edge, but first tramline is 4.5m closer to headland tramline then it should be. SC took care of it. Manually, over the season, there would have been £90 fert wasted. That is one side headland on one field in one year.
Enough to rust it a little ! Bolt holes gone etcHopper getting thin…?! Never heard that before.
How many tonnes of gravel have you put through it…?
Over application. How do you define "wasted"?
