My uncle just had section control fitted to his spreader then had it removed! Didn't like it.
Plus a very limited used market once they get old .Aren’t these spreaders with electrics and section control a big saving until they break and cost a fortune to fix… and they cost a small fortune more
Still nothing compared to the savings over the lifetime of the spinnerAren’t these spreaders with electrics and section control a big saving until they break and cost a fortune to fix… and they cost a small fortune more
So if I buy one will I have more money in my bank account at the end of the year?Still nothing compared to the savings over the lifetime of the spinner
Well if it’s saving you fert it means you can buy a bag or more less, so yes obv it depends what amount your putting through it a season, each to their own I can see the benefits and have had customers remark how it’s saved them fert and not had issues with flat crops on overlaps,So if I buy one will I have more money in my bank account at the end of the year?
As I said each to their ownWe have a sprayer on liquid fert with section control and fert spreader doesn't. Don't see any difference at present. But only at 28m.
At 36m I would see it as a must. I've tried spreading fert with my spreader on grass at 36m and can see overlaps clearly.
Yes well I say that the common actuator issues with kuhn asideSpread around 500t of granular last year with a big 7 bag machine. But no electrics at all. So set speed which is annoying. Would like to go weigher but am scared of big bills and being parked up with problems. I like to hitch up and go. Had a oil pipe go this year and that was annoying. Are people finding them reliable machines with all the toys
How much are they a go?Yes well I say that the common actuator issues with kuhn aside
I couldn’t tell you but they certainly aren’t cheap touch wood this latest spinner we have has been ok so farHow much are they a go?
Was it set up correctly? Why did he not like it? I'm not sure there is anything to dislike if you can work the control box.My uncle just had section control fitted to his spreader then had it removed! Didn't like it.
It was a kuhn spreader retrofitted with trimble isobus to operate autosection. Was it set up correctly? Why did he not like it? I'm not sure there is anything to dislike if you can work the control box.
