Livestock farmers - your help is needed with some research please

Dear farmers, I am conducting some research into sustainable business practices for livestock farmers. In order to make the research viable, I really need a good sample size of respondents. Therefore if you can spare a few minutes, it would be greatly appreciated. Most of the questions are single select from a multiple choice so shouldn't take too long, and there is the chance to add further comments if you want. The answers are completely anonymous and there is no way of tracking people who answer, so you can feel free to be as open as you want. I am really keen that this research gives farmers (including me) a chance to be heard. It is a busy time of year, but even if you can squeeze in a few moments when in the lambing or calving shed, it will make a big difference.

Your time is really appreciated. Thank you.

Seems to be aimed at very intensive livestock farmers as I got to about half way and the questions were becoming entirely irrelevant so I couldn't continue.

Tried it, gave up. Presumption is that my business is not already sustainable and I need to make changes, where the reality is that extensive livestock farming is already there. Your questionnaire is flawed and will not give meaningful results, sorry.

Done. You knockers, there’s a box at the end where you can give a bit of the context to explain your answers if there wasn’t a perfect option. Bit of positivity and support to a youngster wouldn’t go amiss in my view.
Exactly, no single survey is going to suit all types of farming and sure some of the questions could have been phrased different.

But how hard is it to complete the survey and give constructive feedback at the end

Then the survey should not default to not allowing a null answer, which was the case.

I make an effort and fill in a fair number of these Student surveys, which is why I am little more fussy I guess.

I thought it was all right.

I would have liked to have had a place to say, why I don't feel supported by the Welsh Assembly Government, and why I intensively dislike the wildlife trusts (or to paraphrase Michael Gove the environmental blob).

I will add a caveat about the Welsh Assembly Government, they have been funding great stuff via farming connect, with improving grazing etc, good stuff via vet to offer help with reducing the chance of TB, however, at the same time, the messages coming out of Cardiff Bay, is, we dislike farmers, we don't believe TB is anything to do with Badgers, we want all the hills to be covered with trees, and Bangladishi taxi drivers should have a veto over any farming subsidy.

Except, when Plaid were in coalition they gave it a go only for a stuck up colonial throw back High Court Judge to grant a JR. Labour then campaigned on the doorstep (as the senior coalition partner) that they had nothing to do with it! It’s not the institution, it’s who we elect to it.

Sorry, I tried, but the questions and answers took a downward turn pretty quickly starting at Q10. As with virtually all of these questionnaires you won’t get any useful insights because the questions and answers are so affected by the understanding of the person setting the questions. Don’t mean to offend, but your questionnaire reads like most we get on here, you start with a set of assumptions which are somewhere between debatable and just plain wrong. Sorry, I tried.
