Hello all,
I'll be finishing off a few projects (Hedgelaying, mostly) come the end of March/beginning of April and I'd like to get back to working with livestock. The bulk of my previous experience is one year working mainly with beef cattle, sucklers and also rearing bought calves. Job included all day to day husbandry as well as fencing, maintenance, repairs, basic mechanical jobs, grass work, and anything else as needed. I'd be keen to do similar and/or possibly learn the ropes with sheep as well. I'd really welcome the opportunity to learn and develop as well as just doing what needs doing every day.
Plenty of experience of tractor and loader work, (feeding and bedding with chopper, yard scraping, mucking out, carting muck/bales, moving machinery on low loader, mowing, etc, etc.) I've also driven tractors in forestry work. Spent the past year working partly for myself and partly with a couple of firms doing mostly forestry and fencing, but I miss cattle!
Speaking of forestry I have chainsaw tickets up to and including large felling.
Clean driving licence with trailer entitlement (B+E)
I have all kinds of useful tools and gear.
If you're into shooting I also have a bit of experience releasing game birds.
I'd be happy to consider full time or part time on employed or Self-employed basis. I'm 33, married, cheerful and like to get along with people.
I live near Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire. Don't mind a bit of a drive to work especially if it's the right environment.
Please get in touch if any of that is interesting to you!
