but not much about good .
new
quickie or chilton mx
don’t want fancy joystick just normal one with button for 3 rd service
one equivalent to old 970/80 quickie
2 ton 4 m
what’s favourite at minute

Had a new MX loader last year, although a bit smaller than you're looking at. I like it, but I liked the stoll loader we had before too. I think they are all much of a muchness now.
I know you say no fancy joystick, we have a fancy joystick and I'd say it makes the loader. So much easier to use and in the right place. Must be a hell of a lot easier to install too, but I can't comment on the long term reliability of it.

Probably cheaper to buy an old Loadall, we live in the days of the £10k muck loader.

If you’re looking for something reliable but not too complicated, it might be worth checking out some used models that align with the specs of the old 970/80 Quickie.

Sometimes simpler models from a few years back can do the job just as well without all the new tech additions. But check out https://www.boomandbucket.com/equipment/skid-steer-loaders for more details. It helped me make the right choice for my case.
