Locating a gas banger up a tree?

What could possibly go wrong, not next to a bridleway is it?
The sound will travel much better.
If you can hoist it in an isolated sitty tree, so much the better.

A gas banger won't set fire to a tree neither will crow bangers this winter.
I don’t think my neighbours thought it would set the tree on fire but it did.
I’d be making sure you had a banger properly fastened down it’s surprising how much kick they have.

Could you build a platform to sit it all on? A tree house if you will
For the kids to play in and leave the banger alone in the field?
Seriously though, I would make it secure, small platform probably, with a chain through the banger and gas bottle to make sure it couldn't fall.

Used a pallet when I’ve done it, one of those 4x 2 pallets, bolted the banger onto it and cut a 40gal drum in half to shield it from weather and more noise which went over the barrel and computer/battery/bottle. Screwed the pallet into the Y on a tree so it was very secure, went up full height of the telehandler 👍🏻

I’ve found hawk kites much more effective especially against rooks and a lot less bother. I’d better go and see if they’ve survived the wind. Though obviously they might be vulnerable to theft near residential areas. I’ll use the banger if I have to but it’s always my option of last resort.
