My family are looking to rent a piece of land locally in East Sussex to run a campsite/glamping site. We would need at least a couple of acres preferably, with road vehicle access, water access and any smallholdings, especially those with water and or toilet facilities etc, would be great. If it has a stream or woodland on the land or nearby then that would be perfect.

We be willing to pay a reasonable rent on the land and to keep it great condition whilst running a quiet campsite - no large single sex bookings i.e. stags or hens, and no weddings. We will take full responsibility for the land, and the full running of the campsite and surrounding business.

Our idea is to create an eco-friendly campsite, and to run services such as wildlife tours & horticulture talks. We are ambitious and fully committed to our project, and are very easy to get on with, as well as hard working. Please get in touch if you have anything nearby that would be suitable, thanks.

Hi Solitarybee,

I am actually looking for something very similar - although looking for a small piece of land to rent for just one little glamping unit no more than an hour and a half from London.

Did you have any luck in finding what you were looking for? Would be great to get some insight.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
