Thought quota has finished at end of season and now a free for all from 2018

I personally think its a license to grow it,if you think about it would be a free for all,and everyone would/possibly try and grow it and Newark is at full capacity now,so they need to control the tonnage some how.
BS put a figure on M&Js 10000 ton quota which was up for grabs, what they valued it at was 60p to 75p a ton and what it went for I haven't a clue, all I know is there seems a lot of interest in growing beet now, even Mark was surprised at what it was making, and a few months back he said you pretty much had to give it away.
All I know is its not a get rich scheme growing beet::scratchhead:

One of the trucks ( Scania I believe ) is running now as an owner operator, bought by one of the drivers.
Coming back from Nottingham on Tuesday, I met two Scania's and a Merc' on trade plates heading away.
