Making use of old Tungsten tips

Got some worn out Tungsten plough points, the tip is still good, anyone ever cut the tips off leaving a bit of metal on the back and welded them on something in else?
Is it ok to even do that with Tungsten?
Seems a shame to throw the best bit on the scrap heap!

I have put some on my old match plough points, I cut the old one off, metal and all, then cut out a section of the new tip and then mig'd them back in place being careful not to get them too hot or the braze will melt and your tile will fall off. Worked fine but after a season everything around the tile had worn away.
I just buy steel ones now and build up with weld when they wear the tips

That’s fudged it then!
Welded 2 onto a spring tine harrow point and the tiles were glowing by the time I finished.

Well if they didn’t fall off you’ll be fine! I only had the 1” square tiles and they did get hot but were fine. They don’t like stones though!
