Says in the article that the officers involved might face disciplinary action. No mention of the paramedics/doctor who were presumably also called to the scene in the event of a sudden death.

Seems a bit hard on the bobbies involved t be honest, presumably the wound wasn’t obvious if it was missed, so if the medical professionals didn’t diagnose, how are the non medically trained police force expected to diagnose?

how do you miss the fact someone has been shot dead😳

Taggart must be spinning in his grave😁
We have to be realistic, police are very busy keeping a lid on offended persons, they have to stop all these homophobes, transphobes, racists etc mis gendering, you can't expect them to notice someone being shot as well surely .

Old Guy who lived with his 'partner', recently retired from his job on a local estate shot by another old guy with a shotgun receiving a fatal shotgun wound to the neck & chest.

Keystone Cops & Clueless Medics
Welcome to modern 21st Century Scotland - the perpetrator will probably get off because he committed the murder on a day ending with a Y or the prisons are too full or he is part of some newly developed Scottish old people murderer minority that the SNP want to protect

Unless you have some pretty serious medical training it is often very difficult to determine that someone died through foul play. A shotgun pellet that passes through the side of the thorax under the armpit and into the heart, for example, might not bleed all that much externally and it might take some while for the victim to die. They could have ample time to walk a fair distance and then sit down or collapse in a way that an onlooker might assume was a heart attack because of the absence of any obvious injury.
