Credit where it's due: some appreciated help to acknowledge that the amount of reading up etc is not dependant on the size of the holding.

Does anyone know if one submits an app now for <50Ha, would a follow up one with the new options attract the balance?

More like a sign of desperation & not knowing what else to do to get people to sign up to this farce.

An interesting comment and presumably personal observation. This evening I have just downloaded checked and accepted on behalf of clients three SFI agreements for three SBI. I completed these over the weekend and submitted Sunday. I am working on some more and will be submitting further applications in the next few days. Your comment is somewhat ironic as I was pushed by one of these clients to get his application in as he was convinced the money is about to run out given the enthusiasm shown by all his neighbours. Best wishes H

I’ve a feeling it has much to do with the region you work in, how many of your clients are livestock producers rather than arable farmers.

And will said monies now be sucked up by an increase in fees from the various bods advising or doing the sampling/testing etc etc?
course they will, you have been farming long enough to learn that !!!!!! barstewards.

best ring up one of our land lords, met him today, to discuss what he could get, as he claims the sfp, he was rather shocked. Will have to admit, we got it wrong, he can get another £800.
