Manitou 630-125 issues

Hi all,

Just a quick one. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I have a Manitou 630-125. Recently it has lost 3 gears. Only 2nd and 5th work and in reverse only 3rd gear works.

Having had a mechanic look over it, he feels it may be the ECU that is the issue. There doesn't seem to be a part number on the ECU and can't seem to find a replacement online. Has anyone had a similar issue or able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Missing vital info about machine in your post but i suspect your talking about a MLA 630 125 PS or the redrock TH320 prototype manitou bought.

you will get very little support for this machine so i wouldnt get in too deep with it if i was you.

Whats does the Gear display say if you look for errors. I highly doubt the fault is the ECU it will be a wiring fault or solenoid plugs

Below is the solenoids used to get each gear, you have lost clutch pack 1 and 2, so check the wiring and the plugs to both of them, pull the plugs apart as they like to corrode. Clutch pistons in these boxes are not very good and bad for failing.

Gearbox drawing showing locations of solenoids if from another model the MLA 630-125 might have an extra solenoid looks same as no 1 but is for 4wd disconnect i think

Thanks guys. Yes it is the old Redrock. Photo above is it.

Thanks for the detailed explanation and diagram. I will have a look at the solenoids! Hopefully a cheaper fix than a new ECU, however more difficult to get into :ROFLMAO:.

Will update the thread once I have gotten to the bottom of it.

Cheers!
