Hi all.
Our forklift has lost drive in 2nd, 3rd & 4th. You can feel it try to move forwards or backwards but almost doesn't have the torque? In 1st gear with high revs, and the wheels straight it just about moves.

I then drained the gearbox atf oil, and found the gauze was all blocked with soil. And the oil was creamy. Then found the gear range lever rubber boot had ripped, with a big hole in it. Explaining this.
I cleaned the guaze filter, replaced spin on filter, flushed with some diesel and refilled with new ATF, fitted new boot.
However still does the same.
Could also try taking out f/r solenoids and cleaning, presume they're at the top of the box? Thinking the pump may have failed or perhaps slipping in the forwards reverse pack inside?
If anyone's got any advice on this it would be highly appreciated!

The gearbox is spicer com t4 2012.

Needs a transmission over haul. Oil contamination would have been due to leaky transmission oil cooler. You wont get alot of water in via the gearstick boot as it's under the cab protected from weather.

Crap on filter was probably the clutch pack linings not soil.
