Massey 3065 electrics

Hi everyone, just bought a 3065 91 4wdwith 9884 hours showing on it. Needs some tidying but can get round to that. Few small issues I was looking some pointers in firstly. The rev counter does not work, when I turn lights on the indicators bulbs on dash light up, only the dipped beam works not main beam, in the dash the 4wd, diff, pto, headlight, hand brake etc lights do not come on, but they do appear to be working eg 4wd and pto etc working. The lift appears to work OK ut just on the switch, not on the buttons on mud guard or the rear buttons, so not sure if the box has been bypassed and lift just wired directly from solenoid to switch? The etc box does not need woke up when you start the tractor like I have read is often required. This is the main items to get started, but I am sure I will have more questions as I get to look round it more. I have fairly handy at basic mechanics and electrics also so should be hopefully able to sort most issues with some time and patience.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to getting to use it, big step up from my fe35 4cyl 😆

We have one just like that , first take the front grille out or side panel off and check the two fuses, this year we had a Massey man out , old school , he found a duff wire somewhere , fine now. Good luck.

Rev counter works on a signal from the alternator, combi switch for lights and indicators can wear out. As for the electronic stuff I would say your better to pay a massey man who knows what he's doing a few hours to fix it, rather than an electrician lots more hours work to make it worse.

Thanks for the replies will get a look at this. Yeh for the lift control issues if not right will just over time send box away to get reconditioned, but for now at least the lift is working and will get me by.
I was going to order a workshop manual online for it, but wasn't sure does this include wiring diagrams for the various solenoids etc

No don't send any boxes anywhere. Get someone who knows what they're doing to look at the whole tractor first, it may be the alternator, or a bad wire connection or another simple fix.
