Bare with me I don't know the names of anything but can work out how it works and how to fix it. I'll try and explain its pretty simple.
Not a major problem but I can't for the bloody life of me find a diagram or part number anywhere...
Tractor, 5460 if that makes any difference, is fine but it won't go into first and second. Third and fourth are fine. When I go underneath and push the selector (if thars what it is) to the side then someone in the cab can put it in first or second no problem. There is a cable that comes down from the gear lever in the cab down to what I think are called the selectors and it pushes it to the side like I can do by hand so you can put it in first or second.
That cable has popped off the ball thing that it is supposed to be stuck to. I've tried pushing it back on and it comes straight off.
Can anyone help with what that cable part is called and/or where I can find one online?
If i knew what it was called it would be easier to find but I've looked through every gearbox part and every cable in all the usual sites but can't find one
I'm still waiting on an email from the mechanic at the local dealer about my last problem thar I sorted with help from people on here a few weeks ago so would rather not go there if I can help it.
