Anyone know the paint codes and decent paint hat can be brushed on for a 1981 590 4wd it’s had some paint over the years but thinking of getting a couple of decent tins and giving it a brush finish to protect it as much as possible.

Also anyone know where a good parts diagram can be found online? Or owners manual.

need a gear knob and a few other bits

Looks like there is a plate missing from the underside clutch access hatch was full of grass and all sorts when I stuck my hand in?

Our other 590 has a prop shaft guard but wasn’t sure if that was standard ?

PTO shaft cover are they specific to each machine? Will need to fit one as pto won’t be used

Also the stop is stiff thought it was the wire/knob but seems it might the valve/lever on the injector pump? Very stiff to return to open? Anyone had that before?

Is the tractor so bad you want to ‘brush’ paint it ?
I believe the French built used Flint Grey Metallic, which could be absolutely horrid to try and make a job of by brush without it sagging, a bit the same with the Silver Mist on the cab.
Fair enough with the red if it’s a basket case, warm paint on a warm day, and a good brush or roller will get a result, but it’s the preparation beforehand that makes the job, especially regarding any corrosion.

Probably needs new o-rings on the stop shaft, can be done in situ, but is much easier with the pump on the bench. You can get overhaul kits quite cheaply https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151840489413& there's videos on YouTube on how to do it.

Unfortunately I didn’t go and look at it and the cab is worse than I would have agreed to buy, the paint is to buy the steel as much time as possible there is already more filler than I would like to see but it’s done now need to get as much protection on it as possible and get it to work and get the other sold also I think the doors are from an industrial 50 as yellow is showing though

the bonnet has been brushed before we are going to brush the bonnet and cab exterior and a bit of the interiors and spray the arches and cab floor with some heavy duty textured paint

the wheels and silver bits have been painted with an industrial grey that was old stock :censored::censored::censored: hope it’s good have some”protection” stuff to spray on the mechanical bits and link arms etc

Anyone know what gasket is needed for this leak on the lift pump? Can’t find it assuming there is a gasket hence the leak?

Yes there is a gasket between the pump and the block. Should be easy to get or make.
Just a thought as struggling to identify the pump but if the leak is diesel then its likely internal to the lift pump and may have damaged the gasket ? Rather than being the gasket at fault?

Yes if its diesel replace the pump and gasket
Pump and gasket ordered just hope it’s the right one bolt pattern looks right 4 bolts so hope it’s correct. Unlike the fuel filter I ordered .......
Had a little tot up and with paint and a few parts nothing major already spent over £400 and that doesn’t include the welding that was done
