Massey 6290 stanadyne injector pump

I have a fuel injection workshop , power problems with the Delphi pump on the 6290 can be fixed with some parts from another model of pump we have done a few with the modifications and results have been good .
The stanadyne pump can be fitted but new injection pipes are needed too which is a bit of hassle.
Wouldn't recommend as much power as this 6290 we were testing .

Got a 3645 here with a DB4 should the boost actuator rod be visibly moving when I rev the engine or does it need to be under load to work?

It will need some load to work probably starts to move about 7-10 psi

Mine moves when I rev my 8130 on the spot not to full travel but definitely moves

Yea it makes a fair difference you can wedge it down if you want will just smoke more at low revs

You can put a blow end in it to test ok
We keep the diaphragm for these in my pump shop

Officially no- the lines wont reach, but unofficially- you can massage them abit and they will.

You seen a 1006 with the older Bosch pump fitted?

You know what numbers are on the paser engine? Them ones on eBay are actually not far from me

It might. I don’t know what that ad is referring to as 200 quid is core charge kind of money.

need to find someone with a perkins phaser engine with a ve pump and get the numbers...
