Have to decide on this tractor as a replacement for my new holland. Test driving one on thursday. Any feed back from anybody on the good and bad points? Will be doing alot if roadwork with a front loader attached. Really need it to be comfortable.
All feedback appreciated!

We have one that I drive the most and it's comfortable. it's 40k and on smaller tyres 18.4x38 but it pulls better on the road than the bigger 50k tractors on larger wheels. 900hrs of trouble free work.

We got a 7720. Been mf all our life. I'm really disappointed. The safety things spoil a good tractor. Utter crap tool box place. Crap rocker switch. Crap buttons for all fuctions. Buzzer every time you lean back to hitch a trailer up. Over complicated electric spools. If I could find a low hours 6499 she would be down the road

We demo’d a 7718 before going for a new Holland, the MF was great, but frankly rediculous money for a much worse spec than the new Holland.

I was comparing an efficient spec on 38’s, no data or joystick, no front links etc, against a sidewinder t7.210 on 42’s with front linkage, Massey was £12k extra, back in 2016

our current new Holland seems to love spilling back end oil everywhere on a regular basis :banghead: and just doesn't feel like it will last like the old tm model
also the local new Holland dealer is useless

alternatively we could try the local case dealer
the massey dealer is only 2 miles from us and has given us a very good price for a new 7716 with quicke loader 50k air brakes dyna 6

I also don't feel like spending 100k to sit in the exact same cab as our current new Holland but just a bit cleaner

They all go wrong,no matter what the colour!!. Good dealer is worth a lot.
If your fitting a loader, what about a 6716? Might be a handier machine

my work has a lot of haulage of 20-25 ton at full speed so most people would tell me I need 220hp plus, but I just try and get the max out of what I have,

its 100k but I would gladly pay less if there was a tractor cheaper that will do my work
have been quoted 125k for a 6155r

Why buy a tractor that is at its limits while doing daily "normal" work? Been there, done that, never again.

£125k!!! I’d be wanting a 6250 for that lol...

Just a few months back local dealer said a 516 Fendt was under £100k brand new.

Just for a balanced argument there’s hundreds of these tractors about with high hours and no gearbox trouble. A very un lucky owner
You can say that but in a dispersal sale a few months ago a large contractor sold his 7600 series masseys 4 had, had the gearbox replaced. They had done high hours, but its obviously a problem.

Yes I’m sure some go at high hours but loads dont. here it would be easy to think that if you buy one it’s sure to go. Same as every other tractor. My local dealers mechanic says likelihood of dyna 6 going is about the same as fendt vario going

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
