Looking to replace our yard scrape tractor, also drives ag dispenser with sand.

Two options

1991 massey 390

Case 4210

Opinions please!

My choice would be the MF390, it will have a better gearbox and sturdier backend than the Nash but the Nash might be a better starter.
Go with whichever one is in the best nick.

Case is probably tidier, also £2500 less to change than the Massey. But I am Massey through and through but the case is from a local dealer we get on very well with......

If the MF comes with the loader then that’s where the £2500 difference is.

The MF will only have one cab fan just above the dash, the “standard” cab had a second fan up in the roof lining which definitely helped keeping the windows clear, but even one cab fan will be a million times better than the effort behind the seat in the Case!!!

That’s without the loader, been and seen both, both drive nice, Massey probably a better tractor but just more money

Have you been to that dealer. I have they dont keep any crap around if it's there it will be half about.

I would go mf

Yeah been there today. Yep and I noticed that! Says a lot! Both around 6 k hours, Massey 1 owner and arable farm from new, case couple owners and last one was an old hobbiest, hence being very tidy and the stickers ha

Owned a case 4230 and mf 590. 590 miles better. The shuttle will be brilliant compared to the clunky gearbox on the case which is terrible for getting and holding a gear. Mf MUCH better starter in cold weather. Case eat starter motor and clutches.
