Hello I’m considering swapping my teir 2 7480 for a teir 3, I currently have MX loader brackets on my teir 2 I know the front castings are different but are the bell housings the same between the two tiers? If so my brackets could be easily modified to fit
next question does anyone Know off a good teir 3 7480 for sale front linkage and pto and air brakes would be nice?

I have been looking out for a tier 3 for some time. Seems hard to find a good one with the right hours and price.

Yes that’s the trouble my teir 2 has 9.5k hours on now so the upgrade really wants to be around 5k hours to be worthwhile I’d say or do I stretch to a 7618 Vt it’s a tricky one

My tier 2 is hardly run in then with just over 6000 hours on the clock!!

I’ve just had the transmission oil changed on mine. They said it was very clean. Which is good to know.

Yea I change mine every 1000hours it’s allways been spotless did have a pressure sensor go on the transmission this year but easily sorted

may not be any good but there is a 7720 dyna vt on ebay for good money

Some of the early tier3 where perkins and later sisu, would an early tier3 perkins not be a direct swap with what you have?

A local guy changes his tractors every couple of years but sometimes keeps the loaders.
He had to have new brackets when he went from tier 2 to tier 3.

Looks very smart that. Carrs have a tier 2 7490 in with 5900 hrs on on good tyres. Probably the same age as yours but bigger and possibly lower hrs.

My thoughts too it’s 5 grand too dear really
