McHale Fusion 1

We recently got offered a McHale Fusion 1 from a retired farmer for very little money so we took a chance on it just for doing our own bales. The baler looks in serious good condition, it has done very little.

We only got it home this evening and have zero experience or knowledge with operating one so go easy on me. We put her onto a NH T7050 with power beyond and all got all pipes connected up straight forward enough. The tractor was started and the control box was turned on but I noticed a serious wet patch of oil under the right side (standing from back right side) after a few mins so pulled the pin. It came with a few pages from a manual and it said to adjust the hydraulic spool valve to Closed Centre/Load Sensing - allen key head 5 turns out the way from fully in if the baler is on a tractor with power beyond.

I have done this and started the tractor again but haven't run the baler yet. Basically all i want to know is could all this oil be caused from the hydraulic spool valve being in the open centre position before we start looking for leak problems?

Thanks for the help.

Probably just a lose pipe or a blown o ring or pipe. Run it again and LOOK ?

Did you fully tighten the Allen key in before 5 turns out?

Yea so we ran it the first time with the Allen key fully in and then noticed the oil. Then gave it 5 turns out the way.

There is very bad lightly where we brought it back to so will have to have a look round in day light. It was more to see if the fact the spool valve was in the wrong position for being piped to power beyond could it have caused a big leak.

There is a bypass pipe thing which I have put oil out of once before as you describe, my problem was the return pipe wasn't connected properly, I think.

Off the top of my head I would have said 14 turns of the screw but you have the book.

The baler had 1/2 inch return pipe connector so I swapped this out for 3/4 to fit the tractor. So the connection there at that point should be good.

Hi. The wires got pulled out of the plug for the hand piece on my fusion 1 would anyone have a wiring diagram I could use. TIA

I only have the electrical circuit diagram from the spare parts book here so it doesn't show a diagram for inside the control box.

The stop button is all lose on this one here i opened it up and plastic O Ring sort of bits fell out. Any idea what way to fix it so when you twist the red button the whole switch isn't turning below?
