Situation Vacant Mechanic Wanted

An exciting opportunity to join the workforce of a reputable supplier of agricultural equipment, in their machinery division, at their depot near Bourne, Lincs. Decent salary + overtime paid at an additional rate with the opportunity to earn on the company’s performance lead bonus scheme. Duties will include carrying out preventative maintenance to agricultural equipment. This includes routine servicing, fabrication and repair of equipment and plant as well as work with hydraulic and electrical systems on New & Used Farm Machinery. Candidates will also be required to assemble and prepare New Machinery ready for sale. Most importantly, candidates will be required to support sales staff and customers with solutions in a timely and effective manner.

To be successful in the position it would be advantageous if you have previous experience as an Agricultural Engineer, Fitter, Technician, Tractor Mechanic, Tractor Engineer, or Forestry Engineer.

Strong knowledge or experience working with construction or plant machinery may also be beneficial.

To summarise, these are the key characteristics we hope to find in a candidate:
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to work as a team or individually.
  • Self-motivated, good communication skills and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • The desire to complete all work to the highest standards.
Experience working with the following manufacturers would also be advantageous: Vaderstad, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Case, New Holland, CLAAS, Manitou, JCB, Mchale, Kverneland, Dowdeswell, Lemken, Kuhn. NVQ’s or City & Guilds qualifications in Construction, Plant or Agricultural Engineering could also be advantageous if you choose to apply for this role.
