Counter arguments and debate are one thing. I would have hoped the MOPs would have returned armed with further missinformation.

Funny thing is don't think there was any vegans any time in history way before the spear man was eating meat be it from dead animals found on the range land fishing or catching small game .. not only were the animals used for food but shelter pelts hides etc animal fat used for storeing food etc was also another use ..

sure if we think in human terms there is rape etc in the animal kingdon it's the only way to carry on males fight for the right to control the flock herd etc etc each breeding season that can change even if the females disagree in the out come .. older ewes will almost rape a young ram

dose a flower get raped by a bee same with carrots in the wind or grasses the plants of the world are raped all the time ..

could i eat my dog ummm no but 100-200 years ago he could have been fair game for food or pelts

all the fruit frosted blight in spuds carrot fly etc etc a total crop wreck forsed man to use other food's

pre planes and sailing ships tradeing etc the folks of the UK would not have seen soya or other strange food groups as for the sailing ships the lack of greens was a common prob

funny how the vegans say this is the right way when history proves them wrong on so many counts

can vegans eat jam made from exploited bees:rolleyes:
probably, they would not see it as exploitation.
And in answer to some earlier comments, I found this from @Henery link

This is one I wish I'd known at the weekend when I got a grilling from a lady working at a psychic fair.
Lady: 'But you have to eat animals to get vitamin B12'
Me (what I'd wish I'd known in order to say then): 'As it's present in semen, and I swallow... I'm fine!'.

What about the millions of insects inevitably killed in every field of crop grown? Are their individual lives of any less worth than a farm animal by dint of size or lack of cuddle factor?

My favourite bit off the thread you quoted Grumpy:

And these weren't protohumans. By this time, they were fully homosapien. So the meat eating at this time wouldn't have effected brain size evolution in any way. Moving on, as soon as the Ice thawed and receded back to the poles, it's theorized man almost immediately began farming grain. Amazingly, it's deduced that the average lifespan shot up an additional 20 years at this time, and the population exploded.

Let that sink in..man barely existed through a brutal ice age, suffering from chronic illness and dying young because he was forced to eat meat. Later, when man began eating more plant materials, man prospered and dominated the land. What does that tell us? Just a little food for thought.

Man probably started living longer due to the MIXED diet not a solely grain diet you plebs!:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

ummmm so many pun's such a short time

one thing that cracks me up meat eaters in the wild can eat and sleep vegains of the animal world have to graze most of the time and have more guts to break down food

other thing that i always find strange is the numbers they come up with wild guesses at best

animals being controled in there numbers and areas they live in let's go all fluffy bunny for a few sec's no firearms no killing of animals etc etc man would be over run with in 3-4 years

bigger towns have not got a forken clue food's in the supermarket even with 2 foot of snow on the ground there is salads and yes it could be done local with hydroponic's ...

i look at it this way if eating red meats smokeing drinking etc etc etc is all going to shorten the avg life span thats not a bad thing no govt super to pay out or old age homes people dieing in there earning years all those products taxed to high hell one way or another so self funding
