Thanks for the replies fella's, it's not been a problem in the past getting belts, and we have had a fairly good run with the standard belt, I tried quite a few belt manufacturer's and min order was 5, and up to 48 lead time, our grass this year could do with a bit more time, but not that much.
I think we may have one sorted now.

what hp do you run it with?
might have more luck switching to 620 pulley for more output
not many ran the 40's on the 550 pulley as they were for lower hp tractors

We are running an axion 830 on it. Approx 230hp, running 6 blades, top gear 22 bottom gear 19 flywheel pulley 400 mm across, this ratio has worked well for us..
And gives a fair output ...

thats the 120hp pulley
imagine what youd get with the 620 pulley

was a lad here years back ran the 775 pulley on 250 hp
would chase 840's around the field

I'm pretty sure you would not get anymore though the front than we are getting now, we filled 70 16 tonne trailers, so about 10/12 tonne of grass in a reasonable day, whitch is more than enough for us, and not bad for a 30 year old machine...

Everything runs 18%faster to make more use of the hp
