Quick question - As Metacam etc is no licensed in sheep, does everyone still record it's use in there medicine records for said sheep???
Yep.
Get a bottle when we get the other bits and pieces before lambing starts. If the vets weren't happy about it I guess they wouldn't let us have any:scratchhead:

Our local vets won't give us metacam only a jag at a time is there a reason I can't get a bottle for pain relief at lambing calving time?

Our resident forum vet would have to provide informed comment but I never have any problem getting a bottle when we want some. It is supposed to be used up quickly though.

If we have a difficult calving at 11pm on a Saturday night I want to give her an anti-inflammatory immediately to reduce inflammation and tenderness, so I want it in the cupboard.

+1. Pain relief wants giving as soon as, if it needs giving.
@sixrow ,I'd be making my views very clear at the surgery if I was told that. Do they have the same approach to other drugs, or just Metacam?
