Did that used to belong to Bakers?
That's it, and it was down at Nipsells before that. I was down there when it came new, they bought a turboed 595 and a 525 combine too!Did that used to belong to Bakers?
I drove it back from Hullbridge, and called in at Crawfords for a set of filters on the way (I might have been showing it off a little bit too!) and enquired about a workshop manual. Turned out AGCO had only ever printed one, and it was on the shelf at Woodham! (On the shelf in my workshop now!)Did that used to belong to Bakers?
Mine was on the sprayer, but I think they both were at different times. The other one was a lot rougher than mine I think.I can remember watching this work as a boy after a stubble burn (or was yours the one on the sprayer) I am less than a mile from there place, they still have one of the bigger ones. I will have to come and meet you and try to persuade you to let me have a go on it one day!
Oh, what happened there then? I didnt think it had been advertised the last couple of years? Shame, it used to be a good day out. You're welcome to call in.
With the Joyces classic day no more!
I know the decal pattern you mean. Someone on one of the Facebook pages was asking about them the other day, wanting a set for repainting his tractor, I think.I used to have a limited edition IH 956XL had a load of fancy stripes on her. Fantastic puller!
Yes. I think they've tried to go back to what it was before it got all popular!! It used to be down at Butterfields years ago, and it's been back there the last two.was the Plough Match held at Ed Carrs this year?
I have a 1200 in similar condition but a done a lot of hours. Clock showing nearly 1000 hours so I'm assuming it's round the clock. It's got a steering problem too. it's fine in low multi power but steering heavy in highHere's my old girl. Nowhere near as pretty (and the steering pump isn't doing what it should at the moment either), but I think she's only got 2700 hrs. And I know that's genuine because I've known her since the day she was delivered to the farm down the hill from here!View attachment 83042
That's how mine started, now it's like trying to arm wrestle Popeye just to move it round the yard.I have a 1200 in similar condition but a done a lot of hours. No it's still in the yard. The man who was ment to fix it always is busy when I have a chance to take it to him. In hindsight I should have just asked local low loader man to drop it in his yard next time he is passing.Have you hauled it on that trailer yet @multi power ?
They were advertising on eBay a couple months ago, they looked spot on!! Not cheap over £200 I think for pair, but looked identical.Ooh, do you know who that is?
