I had three 1200's and a 1250 in the 90's. The 1200's drive shaft to the gearbox was uprated on the 1250 to a heftier job with uj's instead of fibre discs from memory? The 1250 had a stronger gearbox too with synchro but a shaft inside, can't recall which bust on ours and was not available anywhere as such a small production. I had it made I think. Wet brakes.

They were good old things to pull if had some weight on the links, I used to plough with a Ransomes 4 furrow reversible and they handled it with ease. Not good on steep ground without extreme care as if they bend the wrong way at the wrong moment they fall over. I had my 1250 on two wheels pulling a silage trailer on a fair slope and had to go home for a rest! The transfer boxes were prone to leak oil on all of them.
I still have an original MF 1250 parts book and a 1200 manual reprint if anyone needs them.

The tractor was parked up for several years unused, it was restored in 2007 I have had to respray the roof, recut the faded paintwork, and fit New decals, 're trim some cab panels, and replace the exhaust!! Also refurbish brakes!!
