MF 185 bale ejector problem

New to me massey 185 baler. Great baler so far, but started playing up with the bale ejector (and chute). When the baler is running there is no issue, and there was no issue upon starting the field. All unfolded as it should. Baled up the field, stopped the baler, got out to eject the bale and it would only extend the ram, not retract it. I lifted up the cover on the flywheel while looking for any obvious breaks in a wire or anything, dropped that back down and the ram started retracting (with no input on the switch). It is now stuck so that whenever the baler isn't running the box thinks the switch is being held down telling it to retract that ram! Anybody have any ideas as to whats happened? Nothing untoward happened during the course of baling the 24 bales in that field. Any ideas where to start? If i drop the cover down it stops for half a second or so and then starts again. Obviously the act of dropping the cover down is doing something, I just dont know what!

usually issued are either the sensor under the chute or the switch or lack of oil flow

have seen one where the ram / arm underneath was bent / damaged that caused issues too

Think there is a break in the wiring loom going up to the switch where it goes by the flywheel, fiddled with that wire and it’s working again… how hard is that loom to remove?
