Recently bought a 2007 Mf 5455, the lift wont lift evenly, one side goes full up and the other stays 4 to 6 inches lower , any idea what it could be? Thanks

Stupid question but is the arms set at the same length on the threaded adjustments? If they are your cross shaft must be very badly worn, which would be pretty uncommon on a massey tbh

Yeah there set the same , but when you use the switch on the mudguard it lifts it back up that they are even, it’s strange tbh

Bound to be the crossshaft, go hitch something like a linkbox on but only on 1 side and see how far the arms go up on tge non attached side before it tries to lift the other side and watch the crossshaftas this is happening. Also stand well back you dont want to get caught up and hurt

What have you got on the back? Anything square and evenly should lift square ish even if cross shaft is really worn as the two lift rams push up. Only way for it not to is that the arms have jumped on the cross shaft splines but there on a master spline and would need to be seriously worn.

Mower or hedgecutter etc has no chance if there’s wear in cross shaft splines, twist in shaft or even worn out splines.

With the arms right down are both top arms level/parallel with each other. Lift to top of travel using hitch button to blow the relif valve and are they again matched?
