MF 6480 lost drive

Sounds like the drive shaft in the front of the gearbox is away on it

have a look at the solenoids on right hand side of gearbox. Are you getting any error codes?

Just 254 boost sensor but had that on off for a while.

Try calibrating the gearbox if it will not do it it will be to split

Has it always made that whining noise? Sounds like the hydraulic pump starved of oil, you say the hydraulics are working fine?

have a look at the solenoids on right hand side of gearbox. Are you getting any error codes?

We had similar on a 6475 and it was the solenoids. Just stopped driving. I think our man in a van changed two of them.

The rev counter works, and the hydraulics..so it has to be turning the gearbox input shafts. And we thought you knew all the possible problems with MF Dyna 6 tractor's?

We had one the same and shaft would drive the pump but not the tractor

Damper plate went on our 6480. If it was it though wouldn't have hydraulics.

It doesn't sound like it does in the video, sounds to be squealing on the video.
Think it's forwards clutch packs, it selected 1st. But in N on shuttle was trying to drive itself forwards.

May not be, but my 6499 did the same, this was the reason for mine and if yours is the same it’s not a cheap job
That’s the forward/reverse clutch pack if you didn’t know.
That bits £3200 and it’s a 50 hour job to replace plus another £1800 so far in other parts.
I really hope for your sake it’s not that

Nowhere near enough, 3k on the clock but it’s had a new dash so need to hook up the laptop to find out.

Good luck getting her sorted, well sort after tractor them 6480s so worth keeping and repairing. Hope you got your ploughing finished too, lovely looking soil there
