MF 6499 cab suspension air bag fitting

I have a bad leak from the air bag, what are they like to fit? I can find one for £200, anyone know of cheaper ones anywhere?

Be careful your compressor hasn’t burnt out as well. Did The air tanks on a 7480 and it all looked fairly simple, but then again wasn’t taking the air bag off

I've done the tanks before, compressor is fine, just taken fuse out till I replace air bag or put shocks in

I’d just whip the wheel off and have a mooch in there. As for getting it cheaper not sure, are they lorry air bags?

Sounds cheap enough, just payed £500 for a fendt bag

Is it the bag or the small pipe that supplies it ? I thought bag had gone and it was the short clear pipe with a small hole in it.

Our 6499 had a leak turned out to be short plastic pipe had cracked.

My ex massey fitter told me to take the airbags into big wheels and match it up to lorry airbags as a genuine one from dealers was £350 and the big wheels one was £60. Havnt done it yet as undecided whether to convert to springs.
