no interest in a gearbox like that once you have had a vario you would never buy any thing else
Completely agree as things stand...
Plenty say oh they say more power..
Buy more power then.
to be able to go any speed vs revs to match the job is quite unique & too those who havnt operated tractors like this, you would really struggle to go back to any sort of fixed gear trans
unless you just cant get your head around how to use a CVT correctly.
The Cruise control feature in a Massey & be the same in a Fendt as well as many other brands iam sure can be set at any point to move in increments of 0.01kph right from 0.01 to 53kph
If there was a better gbox why isnt fendt using it?
good luck to massey but i'll put money on there wont be any more in sold than previous models & quite a few have been lost to Fendts in very recent times.
Maybes there is a newer version of Fendts Vario with a single gear in them like the 1000 series & poss 900 series are now #unsure.

  • 250 hp rated power (97/68/EC) + 40 hp IPM
  • 6,8 l engine with 6 cylinders
  • 9,3 t and 2,9 m wheelbase

8S is 10t rear lift with 3.05m wheelbase off my head.
7.4lt engine
Afaik its no smaller than that Deere just you would need the biggest hp model to match it
Twin Turbos on the Deere also, more to go wrong i guess.
and i'll bet its a shed load more expensive than even the 8S.265 in full spec

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
