MF/Fusion issue

New set up to us for this season of a 04 MF 7495 DVT and a 2018 Fusion 3, couple of issues but not sure if they are linked.

Firstly, running on power beyond when nothing on the wrapper or in the baler can still hear pressure through the baler? is that right? Wondering if this could be part of the issue we're having with the tractor getting hot . Have blown the rads out several times, water and oil are ok. Have been running in eco 540 which has helped, usually have to run it a 1500 rpm for about 5 minutes with the PTO off to cool it, then ok for about 20 minutes and repeat. I'm not up on the power beyond stuff, but I thought it only supplied oil when needed so I shouldn't be hearing pressure with nothing happening? Not sure where to start to check which is wrong, baler or tractor?

Other issue is when stopped for the cooling 5 minutes, by the end the door on the Fusion has opened slightly on its own? It did the same with the box switched off on a 15 minute drive back from the field too.

Is the screw on the valve block in the correct place for CCLS? Something reminds ne of 15 turns for open centre or load sensing.

When you turn the control box off does the pressure noise stop?

Not checked that but the door still opens wether the box is on or off

Have you got 3 pipes connected to the power beyond not just flow and return?

Remember when running your engine at reduced revs your fan is also running slower possibly reducing cooling ability. Is it your engine or hyd oil that's getting warm? Be Surprised if a big tractor like that can't run a fusion without heating. Baler should be silent in the hydraulics when it's not doing anything so you have some problem there and the door should not open. As has been said before check its set for ls hyds

Is it 1000rpm pto?

Definatley 540, Was running it in normal 540 at 2200 rpm and just heating quicker, changed to eco and its heating slower

Coolant guage getting to red, wondering of the hyds are getting to hot as if you want to take the baler off straight after you cannot touch the pipes with bare hands. Its running longer in eco than it was in normal before overheating, then if your changing the wrap it will drop from hot to halfway on the gauge whlslt your doing that. Will be usung it around lunch today so will check that out again, but was set by dealer and came from a farm that runs Fendts so should be the same. Can that screw be wound out too far??

All 3 pipes connected, when the tractor came the pressure and LS were capped off so put fittings on. Spools running as they should when baler is working as well so can lift pick up whilst wrapping.

I find rads are best washed with loads of detergent and then steam cleaned throughly every year and it’s amazing how much extra crap will come out compared to blowing out.

A world of difference between the cooling system on a Fird 10 series and an MF 7000. The 7495 will have a viscous fan setup I would assume, is the fan working as it should @ste

I think you have at least 2 problems. Baler hyds will be warm after use but not as warm as you describe. I can't remember the settings for ls but as said earlier 5 turns might be right. Check manual or ring dealer. If the hyds on ur tractor were on fire I think your engine should b able to run cool so I suspect you have a tractor issue also. 100 hp could do it so can't see how 200 can't keep cool. Maybe fan belt or viscus fan type of issues might affect hyd oil cooling ability as well as engine temp. Can the tractor do other work without heating?

Just saying
7810 had twice the power needed, but 1000 shaft was wrong.

Obviously I'm assuming your radiators are clean and air filters as has been mentioned

Brothers manitou boiled on the silage pit, he rang the dealer and hired another one.
It boiled too within 20 min
I arrived on the scene and opened both Air filters, both solid

Screwing it in and then back out or vice versa (can’t remember) will sort a few issues from time to time aswell!!
