Mikes Little Grey Fergy Restoration

Here is my Little Grey Fergy that I have owned twice, I purchased it in 2018, then decided to sell it, due to having to many other project, something that I instantly regretted.
Then in June 2019, I spotted it while looking on eBay, and decided I must have it back.

The person I had sold it had carried out what he called a restoration, it looked like it was paint with a catapult, I have used it for the past few months pottering around the local villages, only issues mechanically, I have found to be a problem were the starter motor, the battery wasn't charging and the oil leaks.

Pictures are from when I first purchased it (grey and red transmission), then all grey when I purchased it the second time.

Future plans, full restoration, lots of new parts, and then enjoy using and showing.

I will have lot of stupid questions, so please assist me where you can.

Exactly, this restoration will not be for the purist, but it will be exactly what my daughter and I want, just looking forward to starting the strip down, the getting ready for the rebuild.

Is the bonnet that bad? Repair if you can modern replacement might not be that great a fit

They make strong money and will only appreciate in value

The T-Piece is bad around the starting handle hole, I have ordered a complete bonnet, but I will check the fit, if it is not satisfactory, then I will order a T-Peice and then sandblast the old bonnet before painting.

I got a t piece for mine from agriline it was poor so got one from Fergieland instead far better
