I think we are rubbish at marketing milk. A litre of moo milk milkshake in our local garage is £1.40 a 500ml bottle of coke is £1.50. It’s a no brainier but people don’t see it that way.

The only slurry left here are the sand dredgings, enough for 1 cut. Had poultry manure delivered for 3rd cut, that won’t happen next year with old Drakey’s NVZ/ anti pollution regs.

Not this year we won't. Put a lot of effort/money into building a large surplus of forage since 2018. Gone ott now tho.

Lack of milk is key.

Our forage stocks are going to be tight as can’t get fert so growing 3rd, 4th and potentially 5th cut on slurry only .. but that can only go so far

Why can't you get fert? Not heard of anyone struggling.

Got an extra 33 acre off neighbour for second cut and got fert to do it within the week, £756/t. Same not feeling that for my 3rd cut so slurry only
