I find that, as long as you sound confident people will believe you, regardless of weather your figures are correct or not.:whistle:

Its just about right but not 100% accurate.

I believe the forecast payout for this season, inc shareholders return (13th payment) is NZ$6.50 / kg MS, possibly even 6.60. @Irish NZ is that right?

At today's exchange rate 6.50 is £3.73.

I don't know the breakdown of how they pay for fat and protein but I'm sure they pay more for protein than fat as they do over here as well. I suspect that to get 6.50 you'd need a litre nearer 5% fat and 4 %protein, not the 6 bf and 4 p I was working on.

So for my jersey litre it might be nearer 35/36 ppl. Still not a bad price though.

We had a great vet a couple of years ago, an Irish chap who was always 100% confident in every diagnosis he gave. He may only have been 10% correct but because he sounded confident, I always believed him.

I can't bear vets who lack confidence and obviously doubt themselves.

yeap especially the ones who diagnosis the problem then tell you what should be done and then ask if its ok to treat her:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Talk of the meeting lastnite was carl(yew tree) been talking to a farmer tell him his dryers full come spring,reckons he'll be able to buy milk in for 5pltr come spring. And also a lot of farmers will b forced to sell up by the banks this time.also feed company's are really trying to put pressure on people to catch up on payments
