Milk quota perfect!! Is working well as I bought as investment with the financial gain in mind (I even declared this on a public forum) means we can get some company's split up tax effectively.. Every cloud as a silver lining my accountant and I are astonished how much its devalued from our predicted revenues.. Who would have imagined !!!!

Tesco down 1.08ppl to 30.93ppl. They must be pinching themselves.

I was pleased with .83. I see the €1.5 euro would have equated to 1.25ppl if it hadn't been for the exchange rate.
Is this going to be a thorn in our side going forward.

Is that arla price increase real that's mighty impressive with the currency as it is and good news for every body

Remember currency works both ways, the UK earnings of Arla (roughly 25% of total) has increased when converted to €. Also much of the other international income (approx 20%) comes in currencies that have also strengthened against the €. This effect is fairly immediate, whereas the money coming to us is subject to the currency smoothing mechanism.
So in the short term the effect of the € weakness could even be slightly positive, before the smoothing mechanism catches up. Even over the longer term the effect is likely to be maybe half that expected by just looking at currency alone.

That did occur to me when I read the fwi report although not in that detail and also that it's a four week increase that can easily go back down but I still consider it very positive as I now think that the arla price is the benchmark price for the uk market

Think the problem is the style with which you choose to communicate, it makes you look like a bit of an arse.
Therefore people aint going to take you seriously.
Now im sure you mean well so for a experiment try thinking before you post and see how you get on(y).

Do you think your comments were in any way helpful to the "very depressed" farmers? You certainly unnecessarily added to the worries of some Arla farmers reading this thread, fortunately for a very short time period.

Arla tries to flags where they feel things are heading on each monthly price update. These comments tend to err on the side of caution. These comments are there for all owners to see in the letter on line. Anyone reading last months should have been thinking some sort of rise was possible soon (as we now see). This months letter gives an updated view for owners.
