Nobody knows anything.

very true, it could be good, bad or bloody awful.
but if eu milk can come in tariff free, but ours gets thumped, that will mean there will be plenty of uk milk about, if the £ keeps dropping, those Imports are going to get dearer, are they not ? so uk milk should be able to hold its own?

Where are the factories to make the product to replace the imports.

EU milk is tariff free now. Imports will not be cheaper after Brexit. End of.

Just clearing out the old filing cabinet and came across our first contract when we got our council holding. Here's the pricing schedule.

Note the date at the top; the pricing was for a full 12 month period!

But exporting into Europe might be more expensive. And what will tariffs be on exports to non Eu countries.
That will have a big impact on my buyer.
Again we know nothing and it’s scary.

UK is a nett importer of dairy products. Also as a fish exporter said on R5 today his EU customers have no concerns about Brexit as they know their Govt will not deny the public the goods they want.

Cull of potentially 45000 cows in northern Ireland as 700-800 million litres unprocessed milk exported to the republic of Ireland that would see a tarrif of 19ppl.

But dont worry it will all be fine.

and s Ireland insists on the backstop, presumably they make a profit on that milk ?
while you cannot always rely on what politicians say, no-one here is saying they wish to have a hard border, in fact, they are saying the opposite .

The majority of the Free State based milk processors have processing facilities in NI. Aurrvio did not have a location of their own within NI to process milk though they were meant to be investigating the Fivemiletown processing facility in the run up to March 2019.

So the obvious question is then brexiteers where will the milk go ?
You tell us Lazy. Brexit isn't the problem. All these things take a bit of common sense and good will. The good will has ran out trying to do a deal so they better use common sense on trade and tariffs. Processors are still actively recruiting here by the way and new starts at that.

It’s disgusting isn’t it when you think about it. Then as soon as we get anywhere near 30ppl we’re all proud as punch. Does anyone know what the price of milk in the shops around that time?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
