Milk Price Tracker

Just kicking some off would lead to accusations of unfair practice so they spin it so that those kicked off are kicked off due to not being up to standard, they will adjust their standards to get rid of the required numbers with the added bonus that the rest are jumping to their demands

Oops, don’t know what happened there, that was in response to SIDS post at 3.50

Breeding, feeding, days at grass days in milk. Empty rates culling rates
Horsepower v cows. Cow free days. There the most important areas.for me ,I’m not competing with Uk farmers.
It’s easy to blame the market. control what you can control and if that’s not good then fair cop.i had a bloody good go time to do something else.

I agree everyone has to be efficient on whatever system they choose to or can implement on their farm (we have a great network of cow tracks, different entrances to paddocks but still have a limited grazing season) but we still need a fair basic price.

Location and climate have such a bearing on that. We have had a really good year so far weather wise and quite honestly i reckon you guys 'down south' must be making a fortune as if we could rely on this weather then i know we would be.

But what pushed it to your biggest milk cheque? More litres than normal or ppl better?

More litres. The base price would be very similar to the last two years but this year the farm was lush and green in July vs. Sahara like conditions in 18 and 19.

It really pays on an Arla contract to keep cows milking well July to September when seasonal litres are +7 or +9.
