the threat is, if you take legal action, we wont pick your milk up, sue us, we will go under, you will get nothing, where do you go from there ? Stopping you leaving, is simply greed, they are selling milk, for more than they pay, if they cant, they tell you to dump it. Farmers are in a tricky situation, do you struggle on, borrow more to see you through ? How long will it last, etc, for some, perhaps it is time to leave, better now, than 'death by a 1000 cuts'. A large x3 day dairy near here, moved the cows in a week ! A lot of serious thinking needs to happen.Well that's not cricket!
Seems a contract is a contract unless it's a milk contract! Could you see the farmer being allowed to pull out if the price went to 40ppl?
I guess they are claiming force majore?
Is voiding a contract and getting 22ppl better for a farmer than having to be paid 26ppl and going them bust?
