Has anyone bought any of the wee portable milking machines for use in a suckler heard to speed things up at calving time if you land having to milk off a few cows at the same time? I’ve seen a few but most seem to come from China/HK and could be shite! Or do I just have to stick to the old fashioned way!

Most sucklers aren't that happy getting clusters put on them, mainly because of the noise.

Get some colostrum before you start calving & freeze it from your friendly local dairy farmer Lot less hazardous

I freeze colostrum from our own cows, but I milk the cow by hand as I wouldn't like to relay on a cow to stand freely to get a machine on.
