Fendt 724 is the new JD 7810
I expect that has been said before in other generations.I can’t see much at all made after the turn of the century that will be branded classics.

Nick , people buy collect old computers, I have no idea why. I dont think it will stop todays youngster in 40 years time buying these tractorsMaybe but a lot of computer controlled stuff will get scrapped and recycled because it will be too expensive and complicated to repair.really don’t see many cars about older than 6/8 years old these days either
Nick...
There may be technological advancements that can cure these computer problems in time, maybe 'smart boxes' that plug in and learn the functions and get everything going again when the original 'brain' has died. Like how mechanical points can be swapped for electronic nowadays. In 40 years technology will be nuts, restoration might just involve throwing a bucket of nanobots over itI understand what you’re saying but I think with electrical and computer problems I think they would do well to last half that time.i hope I’m wrong having said that and hope they are about in 40 years

60 series were launched when Ford was taken over by NH. As buyers of the blue were Ford biased, many looked towards 40 series and TS ranges rather than the new Fiat based 60 series. Probably wary of the thought of buying a blue Fiat I reckon... As you say, TM's are well received, and 60 series should be no different really. There's not one bit of Ford ancestry in either of themIt's funny cos not many people say anything about the NH 60 series tractors but there successor the TM series is held in high regard.
60s didn't have cab suspension and early ones were slow on the road so they're not as desirable as TMs. Having said that the 60s had a bigger diesel tank, seemed to have more power when tweaked to the limit and used less diesel. It's funny cos not many people say anything about the NH 60 series tractors but there successor the TM series is held in high regard.
And less prone to RC synchro issues60s didn't have cab suspension and early ones were slow on the road so they're not as desirable as TMs. Having said that the 60s had a bigger diesel tank, seemed to have more power when tweaked to the limit and used less diesel.
I believe my TM155 was fitted with the "improved" 60 series syncros when the originals started crunching....And less prone to RC synchro issues
