Some still treat it like the wild west and just don't pay anyone until their arm is metaphorically twisted. After expanding into a new area a business was facing a large debt from a new customer. When they asked a local what they could do they were told there were guys who would break a kneecap for £200. A big of negotiation got the debt paid in instalments without any Equaliser treatment.Thats theft, and the police won't think of the £500 you're owed, its not your property. Courts exist for a reason, this isn't the wild west
I cannot understand why assets are not seized after a court order as I know of several examples where a solicitor turns up with a letter and wagon driver to load up a tractor or cattle going to a market and no money returning to the owner.
If you cannot pay £500 then you are almost bust next week. Offer to take 25 bales as replacement if they don't have cash.
