Thanks for responses, I haven’t had it on a Dyno, just when you hit a hill it kills it and I would expect as it is quite a light tractor with 100hp it should fly along really.
It is a Lucas pump, is that the same as Delphi?

Delphi/Lucas much the same thing, you need to make sure you dont actually have a fault with it first. given them pumps are common to get low on power i would say you actually have a fault more than anything.

As AcEngineering said. I used to use CX100 when they first came out. You could hit a hill in top and only need to hit the spliter to keep going. They were quite pokey for their size.

Phoned a few of those ACE recommended and looks like it will be around £500.
Would you expect to see other symptoms if it is the pump? It runs fine and doesn’t smoke.

If it's a similar pump to what's in our 4255 you've got to check the diaphragm in it. Did ours and it's made a huuuuuge difference. Went from a wet fish to, errr, a bigger fish?maybe a dolphin? It's much better anyway. Whip the cover off and have a look

Decided to take it into our local case dealer so they could Dyno it and go from there.
He said it was likely to be the diaphragm as well - so he checked that but it was fine. But the there was a lot of sh!t in the fuel and filters apparently so cleaned all that out and put it on Dyno and it was 95hp!
He thinks there is something wrong with the boost mechanism though as said he put a washer between something on it which should have trigger the boost and give another 10hp but did nothing?
He suggested putting additive in the fuel and see how it goes but ideally need pump doing.
Anyhow, drove it home and it went loads better 25mph instead of 23mph and up the hills half a gear higher.
According to Tractor Date it should be 85hp at the shaft, is that right or should I be able to get it up over 100hp if I get the pump done?
