I was amazed at the response to polish mince but lots of people mostly none farming they were very upset about it , great ! They had to discount it to sell it even better . Only people I’ve heard defending it were on here , amazing, Thankyou you to everyone who didn’t buy it .

I don't think they were defending (myself included) but were highlighted the broader issue. Farmers are fully entitled to their protests and opinions, many of which I support. However;

1) We export more meat then we import, we can't have one way trade and ban all imports.The lorries which brought the Polish meat in to the UK, went back with return loads of British exports.

2) Just because farmers need paperwork to wipe their 4rse in the UK, it doesn't directly correlate to our beef being superior in quality. Many were publicly shaming fellow Polish farmers on media platforms, without justification.

3) Polish farmers are not at fault, if an Irish man buys a Polish abattoir and decides to export meat to the UK. This is an Irish issue, not a polish issue. However, farmers were publicly reffering to Polish meat as cheap 5h17 and insulting the country of Poland.

4) As someone who works with Polish slaughtermen and boners, I was disgusted at some of the comments directed at Poland by some farmers. All abattoirs will see an exodus of Polish slaughtermen as a result, some abattoirs have already cut shifts due to staff shortages, they don't need more staff leaving.

5) Yes farmers are entitled to their protest, but at the same time they have alerted many smaller butchers and catering customers of just how cheap Polish meat is. I know of a certain importer who had over 100 enquiries last week from the Facebook butchers page alone. Farmers have given ABP free publicity.

If the protest had been based on genuine concerns, oppossed to reffering to Poland as a sh17hole where horse meat is exported to England as beef, it may not have faced any protests from fellow farmers. But some of the language used was bordering on clear cut racism.

Please note, the abattoir in Yorkshire which was selling horsemeat was not Polish owned or operated.

We british cannot fight under queensbury rules all the time, so im afraid we had to use what would hit a nerve. If it was the otherway around polish farmers would be burning trucks with our beef inside. British Beef jobs is dire and fetching in cheaper beef is killing us , its going to be a dirty war i am afraid .

I also think you dream up half your inside info tbh, like your above comments on butchers enquiring about polish beef . Went to bed and dreamt it imo

Ok to criticise Polish meat as long as your not employing Polish people on your farms , if you are the word “ hypocrite” comes to mind.
