That’s virtually a new vehicle with every extra . Wait till it’s 10 years old with 100k on clock

Got one on lease and it’s the best vehicle I’ve ever had for work but no way is it worth that kind of money irrelevant of spec. True value is half that asking price.

Yes but there’s plenty of people who can’t claim vat back. It’s just a ridiculous price.
I have pretty much the exact same vehicle on a 18 plate. It was £38k brand new.

worked out that buying has become cheaper than hire these days yet ? tractors snd trucks

our V6 VW was low 30’s iirc plus vat 3 yrs ago - hire was almost £600/m at the time so I would have spent 21k on hire to date so on the basis its still worth more than £10k ownership will have been a LOT cheaper

Some differences in figures that’s for sure as mine was £38k on the road but the lease price is £380/month for 15k miles per year. Not sure what to replace it with as the lease ends in June.

It’s not a typo. It’s my local dealer.
Certainly shot up in price, changed my 2 year old Amarok in late July 2020 and managed to get a pre reg (9 miles on clock) 258 Highline from them (Listers Coventry) for £28995+ vat. Friend who knew about my deal asked recently and had a quick look and the cheapest 258 was something like £44k + vat

An acquaintance has just bought a two year old Amarok V6 for £27k + VAT. Crazy money for a pickup in my opinion and considering what you can buy top of the range rivals for brand new.

As for buying being cheaper than lease, it depends very much on the deal offered. I usually buy outright or hp, and the last one gone was my first PCP. Lucky with the timing and lockdown etc.
I've done a deal this time on a business contract hire which works out to be very competitive indeed. Much cheaper than the probable depreciation if purchased.

Next one? Who knows?

Just typed in my nearly year old Amarok into we buy any van and it is worth £600 less than when I bought it, possibly private sale could see me get what I paid for it at a push.

It is a seriously nice truck and possibly the last 3 litre engine for a pickup in the UK.
