Muller "drain the swamp"

Speaking to another milk buyer in Scotland they are saying it is a Muller problem.
Muller are saying they have a problem aren't they?.
The farmers who are pushing all this extra milk 25% more in the last 5 years infact, aren't going to admit it's their problem are they now?
But those farmers are certainly going to get the message in a minute by the sounds of it!!
I would guess the biggest culprits are the muller aligned farmers putting on extra ltrs on top of their aligned c.o.p allowances, And holding their hands out and taking a standard muller direct price for the over supplied ltrs.

What is the supply/demand situation in Scotland as a whole?

I would have thought that Muller would be looking at a swap deal with other processors-or did pre Muller Wisemans kill off too much of the "opposition" with their aggressive business model?

I agree aligned farmers probably have certainly increased, but this milk hasn’t suddenly appeared it’s been a gradual growth over the last few years. Müller have not been able to find/invested in outlets for profitable products.

And closed down processing facilities like Aberdeen recently, then charging producers who supplied that site transport costs.

Muller are the problem according to who I was speaking to. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter there will be a lot of worried farmers in Scotland with very limited chances to switch milk buyer.

I would say Mullers 5 year average up here will still be very good. Didn’t hear to much squealing when a lot of the rest of us were in the teens. Northern Scotland Muller will be worried south down here loads of them expanding aggressively as per.

Will he pay haulage on non Tesco milk? They make an excellent job.
Interesting point that , I thought all Tesco's own milk was segregated on collection.
How does the extra milk collected fit in to this then ? And who pays transport on it ?
