The actuator might have a limit switch built in at the end if travel so just set it up so that it's closed fully at the fully in position.

Converted an accord to electric motor and drive it off a motor driver and radar single from a Trimble gps with an arduino. Can modify rate on the fly. Happy to share details if anybody wants to do same
it does
but struggled to get one with just the right amount of travel to fit in the correct place
Yes that was the original planwould you set up what would be the middle limit switch so that the moveing arm was like a hump and it only "switched" it at the height of the hump, so it could still go past either way?
ie switch pointing down rather than sideways.
thats what i said many posts ago, this place is just like real life, i get no creditabilty at allConverted an accord to electric motor and drive it off a motor driver and radar single from a Trimble gps with an arduino. Can modify rate on the fly. Happy to share details if anybody wants to do same
Last year i did a few bits by manually getting of the tractor and altering rate leverdoes increasing seed rate make a big difference?
or do the "poor" bits still not do very well?
good,Last year i did a few bits by manually getting of the tractor and altering rate lever
Definately a more even crop and yielded the same across the field
i did that with mf30, made 4 tin slides, and clothes pegs on the door handle, good,
my poor bits I would say are only 10 yards long per run, would be easier to re drill 90 degrees to normal drilling for odd bit.
you sound as keen as me, for 5 years I tramlined with an older Fiona drill similar to yours by getting off and shutting the shoots every tramline (new messed a tramline up either! you see plenty done with electric controls)
i just ran down each tramline after drilling to put pre em marks ini did that with mf30, made 4 tin slides, and clothes pegs on the door handle,
for pre em, i fixed a lifting bar on the rear of the roller to make a mark in the correct place, doing it now i would add a spray bar
mine was a t bar of 3 inch box, 4 railway washers,2 railway bolts a lister take put ram and 2 tarrup flails plus a lenth of hyd pipei just ran down each tramline after drilling to put pre em marks in
anyone found a good way so they show after rolling?
(im on an accord combi now with proper pre em aswell its bliss haha)
when I manually tramlined with mf 165 and Fiona 3m drill, only got combi this last winter btw! I used to chant with boredom driving across the field 1 1 1 1, then 2 2 2 2 etc tramline on 4 for 21m and drive out right to edge of field every tramline, can always count back then.mine was a t bar of 3 inch box, 4 railway washers,2 railway bolts a lister take put ram and 2 tarrup flails plus a lenth of hyd pipe
5 runs of the 8 ft roller = 1 sprayer width = perfection. this was before calculators so i had to do the maths the hard way with a finger in the dust
mine don't work so nice! 6.3m rolls (6m) and 21m tramlines!mine was a t bar of 3 inch box, 4 railway washers,2 railway bolts a lister take put ram and 2 tarrup flails plus a lenth of hyd pipe

they start at £14, the wired are best,, the cheap wireless units only have enough power to cross a room, and need a wire for power anyway.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-24V-...681109?hash=item3b1522edd5:g:OeYAAOSwCFNbVYxF
£45 and wireless 1st one I found
haha, dad has one on tipper lorry.they start at £14, the wired are best,, the cheap wireless units only have enough power to cross a room, and need a wire for power anyway.
having said that, i have a wifi DVR in the truck, can beam pics 200 + yds if nothing in the way, its running 4 cams, 2 of which have powerfull zoom lenses and IR. and 1 has thermal
imaging that can spot a cow at a mile, or a warm bearing on a machine.all saved to hard disk,,,, b...expensive though was £104 without the thermal so i will replace it with the wired one i got here.
dam usefull for all sorts of purposes, who would suspect that a parked vehicle was recording everything going on, counting loads etc, how long the driver stopped for dinner and so on.
got to be very carefull what you say when close by as the mics are very sensitive, and its scary listening to yourself after cooling down
pre-em discs on roller too.i just ran down each tramline after drilling to put pre em marks in
