It was originally planned for disabled / old bugger living downstairs with carer above. This is still an option, but parents 'aren't ready to move out of big house' :(
So holiday cottage-dom beckons, to repay my brother for his investment. ;) Bless him.

I'll be making him a workshop corner in the farm shed for his various vehicles, might even insulate an office area above (with bedroom) on a mezzanine. :sneaky:

Did he tell you that we were bidding against each other for a jcb pallet tine backplate. I cost him £27. ;)
No, he didn't! Did he give you some wheels for me? I was under bidder on man basket btw!
Top job with conversions, see, you do have need for two forklifts! Gonna need loader back on mft soon.....then you'll need another tractor.....

looking good @Nearly.

Up here you will never get permission for conversions within a working farm.

Once we get 3 cottages up and running it will be even less of a working farm than it is now. ;)
I'd have agreed to knock one shed down (behind brick barn) and stop keeping cows next to 2 cottages if council had asked but they fecked up completely on the lot. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The cottages and house have a separate access to the farmyard anyway.

The fibre cement barn to the north is going to be function venue for birthdays / weddings etc as we have a lovely view from the top of the hill.

Excellent hope they disown me , any contacts for insulation ?
Jewson's seem to have big stock. Hardly worth getting seconds if expensive labour needs to install it.
As it's all 5% vat everything is coming through builder, using his discount. :)
Easier that trying to get merchant to invoice at 5% :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thought the 5% vat was for labour .

Compressor bubbler. I hope to never find out more.

Compressors wear out, we fitted an Entec Biotec in 1995 & are on our 2nd replacement compressor. Also on our 2nd replacement submersible pump but you may not have one of them. When you need a new compressor, just google the name on it & it will cost you half what the merchant wants for it ;)

Yes Granny, just make a hole in each end and blow ;)

I think it works like Jacques Cousteau's invention for moving silt from shipwrecks and just blows bubbles up a pipe rather than actually pumps it round. No subs pump on mine, just a 3/4 air hose.
